Mildred Stalnaker Dies At Orofino
OROFINO - Mildred Arlene Stalnaker, 67, died at the Orofino Convalescent Center at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
She was born May 17, 1903, at Hartford, Conn., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spencer. She attended high school at Kanaan, N.H., and moved to Spokane with her parents in 1920. Later they moved to Big Island on the North Fork of the Clearwater River in 1922.
She married Edward Al. Stalnaker Jan. 23, 1924, at Lewiston. He was Employed as a woods worker in the Ahsahka area until 1948 when they moved to Orofino where they have lived since.
She was a member of the Orofino Bluebelle Rebekah Lodge. Her husband survives at the family home. She is also survived by one brother, Louis Spencer, of Mololla, Ore.
Services are pending at Gilbert's Funeral Chapel.
